Venables I love Terry. Hes a proper GEEZA. Lets his teams attack and had England playing the best footy i have probs even seen. For these reasons I hope he dosnt sign for The Scum.
Radio 5 reporting @ 12:30pm that he is in talks to take over and its without Shearer as his number 2, if they appoint the biggest cowboy in football i will take a half day at work to go greet him
Terrys a legend, when i worked at the boro ground when he took over there i saw him stood in the ladbrokes que in the west stand about 45 mins before kick off.
Venables in Newcastle talks! Former England coach Terry Venables is speaking with Newcastle about the vacant managerial position. Venables is the bookmakers' favourite to succeed Sir Bobby Robson after talks with Magpies chairman Freddy Shepherd. ...fidds...
Someone at graft reckons someone said Strachan was at Central Station Metro asking how to getto Darsley Park for the toons training ground and he got told to get the metro to Benton The rumours that kick aboot when a manager leaves/joins are
Strachan is away on holiday 2mora man. needs to get away from the spotlight. Geordie, that was me old man, he was meeting me at the training ground from work, doesnt know the metro system well does my dad.
Re: Venables England played well for 1 game in Euro 96. The Swiss game nowt special apart from Big Al's thunderbolt The Jock game Gazza magic & a McCallister missed pen wins for England. The Holland game The Spainish match we won on pens The Germans beat us on pens All home games aswell. A truly outstanding record as England boss. He was a great coach at Palace + Leeds
Venables will be a massive mistake... you would be replacing him in 6 months to a year with a big healthy pay out.
I think the appointment of El Tel would be an absolutley brilliant desision by the board. Viva El Tel. He can come and live in Costa Del Newcastle. Whey Aye.
Re: Re: Venables Slightly harsh Spence. I would asses it as follows: The Swiss game - good first half, poor second The Jock game - poor first half, very good second The Holland game - quite simply the best display by an England team ever against the pre-tornament favourites The Spainish match - pretty average, but Seaman got us through the shhot-out The Germans - excellent performance and desperately unlucky not to beat the eventual tournament winners Leeds - he never had a hope to be fair He didnt do too bad with Boro, sorted their defence out good and proper.
Re: Venables Sh*te woe terry i reckon, he'll come get sacked and leave with 2mill good 8months work. Gordon Strachan or Martin O'Neill
