Van hire? Has anyone had experience of hiring a small van from Newcastle? I need to get all my stuff down to London, and since my car has been written off i thought the best thing would be to hire a small van. What age can i hire a van from, i ve got a bad feeling its 25, but i ve heard of people younger hiring vans. I need one that i can pick up in Newcastle, and drop off in London, so im guessing it will be along the lines of Budget, National, Hertz etc. Any idea how much it might cost? Thanks
the earliest you can hire them from is 21 but you need to put down a 'young persons' deposit, which can be around £200. If you rent a van up here and drop it off in london some companies ask for an extra £100 fee All the major companies such as hertz, budget etc require you to be 25 and are more expensive. The cheapest places to rent van are from dealerships. I know that both ford and vauxhall do this and don't ask masses for it either. The van rental itself is around £30 per day + diesel + a deposit.
