    Bet there was a few folk touching cloth there like.

    Our plane was struck by lightening on the way back from Greece a few years ago and we had to land at Manchester that was pretty scary, apparantly its quite common and aircraft are built to withstand it.

    I've got a friend who is a pilot and he says they are all worried about landing on wet runways and in cross winds but they have to do it lots. :eek:

    no it didn't do much for my confidence levels either :D
    You have this idea about pilots being 100% full of sense ultra in-control people but it turns out they are just as shit as the rest of us.

    my older brothers a pilot flying airbuses
    few years back when he was flying with air italia an engine blew up just a few seconds after take off
    said he sh@t himself but made a safe emergency landing
    was a hero in the italian papers the next day lol
