Doods like I was wondering if any of the rock n rollers (cheekymonkey and crew :D) could point out some quality unsigned bands, small bands on independent labels, etc.

    cheers :D

One of my mates bands from Newcastle are pretty damn good, they've been signed to a small independent label and their album was released a few months back. You can get it in almost all the record shops in Newcastle.

Their called Peace Burial at Sea. Not sure how to descibe their music but their own description is "loud-motherfucking-rock-and-roll".

Their website's http://www.peaceburialatsea.co.uk but it seems to be down at the minute.

They've also got a remix of one of their tunes on the new Global Undeground album, Electric Calm v2.

And None Of Them Knew They Were Robots are pretty good, they're from Leeds I think and are kind of hardcore/punk/rock. I'm also loving Farse at the moment. They're on Sucka Punch records, dunno if you've heard of em? I'm really out of touch with new bands at the moment. An older band, but still quite small and independent, are Peeps Into Fairyland, listening to them a lot too.

    Joe - how bout u, any tips?:D

Got a mate who plays in an unsigned band called TheDans. Play a lot of gigs around Newcastle, and have been all over the country too.

    www.thedans.co.uk

Unfortunately they got my brother to design the website. To put it mildly, hes a bit lazy.

My mates band have a had a session on Lamacq and Peel...... there called Mos Eisley and there albums in HMV at the mo, if your into your indie-rock you'll love these however there not my cup of tea but there dam good at what they do. Probably helped that the drummers dad was in fact the drummer out of Lindsfarne.
