not the best of fight cards ...

still getting it on PPV - yep Im a sucka I know!

Im routing for Franklin, Griffin, Sanchez

think the Ultimate fighter middleweight match up Herman and Smith may be a good fight.

Must admit UFC 73 is looking like a good card...

****SPOILER DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE GOING TO WATCH THIS OR DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE RESULTS*********

Rich Franklin defeats Yushin Okami via unanimous decision

    - Not the most exciting match Franklin had the 1st two rounds and in round three he narrowly escaped a really deep kimura which was really impressive.

Forrest Griffin defeats Hector Ramirez via unanimous decision

    - Heavy punches thrown by both fighters, Forrest on the backfoot throwing lots of kicks in fear of being knocked out (with his last fight in mind). Round 3 Ramirez told his corner he couldnt feel his left leg. A much more decisive Forrest wins comfortably imo

Jason MacDonald defeats Rory Singer via technical knockout (strikes) in round two

    - MacDonald was saved by the bell first round from a triangle but in the second round he got the full mount and rained down a load of punches on Singer which forced intervention.

Tyson Griffin defeats Clay Guida via split decision (very close match)

    - Best match up fight of the card imo. Lightweight match up full of energy. Non stop action from both parties to the final bell and really could have went either way with the decision going to Randy Couture's team mate Tyson Griffin.

Ed Herman defeats Scott Smith via submission (rear naked choke) in round two

    - Herman controlled the fight from the off threw a nasty elbow in the 1st to open a nasty cut on the bridge of Smiths nose. Hermans dominance continued in the 2nd and he gets Smith's back and the rear naked choke was inevitable.

Marcus Davis defeats Brit Jason Tan via knockout in round one

    - Scouser Tan was knocked out by the "Celtic Warrior" after a couple of exchanges. Tan went to ground after a right hook and Davis quickly followed up raining down punches. Tan after the stoppage remained hold of Davis's leg thinking the fight was still going. A little dissappointing the Brit didnt do too well and Davis's craic (no pun intended) at the end was laughable.

Eddie Sanchez defeats Colin Robinson via technical knockout (strikes) in round two (was not televised)

Dustin Hazelett defeats Stevie Lynch via submission (anaconda choke) in round one (was not televised)

UFC 73 Stacked is next on July 7th
    which promises to be much better card;

Champion Anderson Silva vs. Nate Marquardt (for middleweight title)

Champion Sean Sherk vs. Hermes Franca (for lightweight title)

    Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz

Heath Herring vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
    Kenny Florian vs. Alvin Robinson
    Stephan Bonnar vs. Mike Nickels
    Drew Fickett vs. Chris Lytle
    Jorge Gurgel vs. Diego Saraiva
    Mark Bocek vs. Frank Edgar

the 73 ufc is gonna be awesome
i was at pride in 2004 and watched noguiera choke out herring so this will be a hell of a re-match after 3 yrs.
sherk vs franca should prove a good fight also.
i'm sure a lot of the other fights will be good also as i prefer the undercards most of the time.
