Ufc 65 November 18th (19th for us downloaders) Matt Hughes Vs Georges St. Pierre I can't wait. Romours ar going around on the internet about Hughes retiring after this match but it seems people think that if he won the fight, it would be the best time for him to quit as there's nobody else left for him to beat. I hope he doesnt quit though. Tim Sylvia Vs Jeff Monson also.. They are both fucking hugh and Monson is amazingly good at submissions so this should be a good matchup.
Re: Ufc 65 Lets hope Sylvia's match is better than his last borefest with Andrei, crap match indeed one has to say.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihnNT2W005Y He's a bit like the pikey in snatch, just needs to get one good punch in!
Re: Ufc 65 Doesn't the winner of the current Ultimate Fighter series get a shot at the title. If that's still Hughes, UFC should still honour (honor if you're a yank!) that fight before he steps down.
Re: Re: Ufc 65 I think it's all speculation. There's nothing official that i know of that hints and sort of retirement plan for hughes.. I guess if he lost this match he'd want to come get his belt back. Hughes also mentioned moving up a weight class to fight Anderson Silva.
****SPOILERS**** Great show 2night and very much fulfilled the cards potential.. Firstly.. Bradon Vera looks like he's gonna be one to watch.. Seen his last 4 fights and he just keeps on improving. Hopeully We'll soon see a fight with.. Tim Silvya.. He looked very much in control.. apart from the 3rd round.. but has obviously been working on his ground skills. The way he escaped from that rear neck choke was great.. especially as he ended up on top. I personally believed that if he had worked the jab more and threw a few combinations then by the third he would have worn him down and probably with a few more kicks would have laid him down.. GSP was great 2night.. and pulled off the 2nd shock in a row for the MF people.. The way that he kept working at Hugh with a combination of Jabs and kick was immense. Tbh.. I expected more of Hughes and really expected him to win in the end.. but knew it wouldn't be an easy victory. The shin kick at the end reminded me of when Chuck knocked someone out in similar fashion a few years ago just before he fought Couture for the first time. And the way he switched to elbows at the end was great thinking. On a lesser note.. any ideas why that dude in the 4th fight just dropped to the floor and took a battering?? :confuse:
