is it possible to get a connector so that you can use two pairs of headphones from one socket, say on a portable cd player? and if so where can i get one from?

Yeah you can, we used to use em last year @ college when usin Cubase.

You should be able to pick em up from any sound equipment dealer really. Thinkw e got ours from Sounds live or Sound Control. Only cost about a quid or sumat

you do lose some, obviously as the signal is split, but it's not much. Put the vol up to 11 and no prob ;)
