Well from tommorrow Telewest launch their competition for sky + TVDRIVE and it is the dogs bollocks :king:

No massive upfront fee for the box like sky instead its just a monthly fee (£10 - £15 dependant on which TV package you have) for the service

180gb standard box (80 hours standard Tv or 40 hours HDTV) which allows 2 programmes to be recorded whilst watching (and recording) a 3rd.

The overall service is a lot faster as a result of having the new box so the menus pop up on the spot instead of the delay like you used to get.

If anyone wants it PM me and we'll talk business ;)

I would be if I was paying X for a service that runs 10x slower than it should do.

Bought a new house last August in an area without Telewest. Would have kept it on without a doubt but had to get Sky digital & BT Broadband in instead.

Get a lot more channels for your money mind, but a lot of them are shit.

it affects everyone in my house though and i have tried with/without the router etc

its definitely the line as the speed is dependent on the time of day :(

    Not this time.

We were piloting this when sky launched Sky + but we delayed the release till we were certain it worked properly. :)

Thing is with Sky + you have to actually buy the box whereas with Telewest its only rented (meaning if anything went wrong we'd sort it for free) but if you dont have Sky insurance: £75 to come out and sort it

What the fuck would you do with your box once you left sky anyway  they dont work with any other company except Sky - rip.
