tv on your pc monitor? whats the best way to go about it? i'm thinking this is probably the best bet, getting one that works by itself without the pc needing to be on. http://www.ameiva.co.uk/index.php?s...BC1BFE-77F6-4B3E-8DCE-EDA8A4543868?ref=kelkoo Or do you think a pci card would be a better option?
an internal card gives u more options for recording stuff, editing - more control - however i've always heard crap things about the tuners. personally, i'd got for an internal card but i'd put up with the hassle
i'd have to get up out of bed and turn my pc off when i go to sleep then though. and don't really think i'd ever record tv, i don't really watch it now
i have an artec tv tuner and its shite. has a very good aerial signal going into it but doesnt play half the channels. id stick to a normal tv to be fair
yeah i have heard they aren't that bad, thats another reason why i'm swaying to one fo those in thelink i posted because technically its just a freeview box with vga out on it.
I've got one of these... http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/content/products/details/index~modelcode~FRE-DVB-T-USB.htm Works well, small enough to use with a laptop and it's cheap as chips.
what features does it have, like looking whats on how far forward can you go, is it just now/next or can you go over a day? what are the menus like on the digital tv?
I'd look up a review Alex, it's fine for me but the GUI is not as good as sky+. If you want a super slick DVR why not get SKYHD+? I only watch the news and it does that fine.
i don't what somwthing super slick just interested to know what its like thats all? I'd love to get skyhd, but its a tad expensive yet
