Turbulence :: Sub Focus, Clipz, Eksman & Skibadee @ Digital - Fri 27th February TURBULENCE – SUB FOCUS, CLIPZ, EKSMAN, SKIBADEE & MORE. FRI 27TH FEBRUARY 2009 @ DIGITAL SUB FOCUS exploded onto the scene in the past couple of years with a flurry of media attention, Sub Focus has firmly positioned himself at the top of the drum & bass tree with every DJ from Andy C to Zane Lowe championing his music. Signed exclusively to the massive Ram Records, he is currently working on his new album and if his singles have been anything to go by, you better hold on to your hats! CLIPZ as part of the infamous Full Cycle Bristol crew alongside Roni Size, DJ Die & Krust has recently blown up with a slur of releases and remixes on some of the scene’s top labels. Starting out at MC GQ’s Emcee Recordings Clipz shot to fame with the release of ‘Cuban Links’ before joining Full Cycle and putting out tracks such as ‘Slippery Slopes’, ‘Soundboy’ and collaborating with Die on ‘Black Doves’ and ‘Number 1’. Moving into 2009, Clipz has started his own label Audio Zoo and already has catapulted it to the top with the first two releases; ‘Download’ and ‘Rubbish’ both infiltrating charts and DJs record box’s alike. Come and see the Bristol boy in action… Making his Turbulence and North East debut, MC EKSMAN is probably the most talked about MC in drum & bass at the moment. From Innovation In The Sun to Slammin Vinyl Eksman has pretty much seen it and done it, picking up awards as he goes along. If you haven’t seen this guy live in action, then now is your chance! If you talk about MC’s in drum and bass, one man who will appear on everyone’s lips is MC SKIBADEE. Working all over the world from the UK to New Zealand, Skibadee has carved out his own niche with his unique style and character. Many have followed but few bring the originality and vibes that Skibadee has. Not content with dominating MC’ing in drum and bass, Skiba has also dabbled in hip hop with his Platinum Performers project and also hooking up with Fusion and Skeme. Is there any end to this mans talents? Resident support comes in the form of PHOBIA & SWITCH MC.
