Next up on FRIDAY 28th NOVEMBER 2008 we bring you ANDY C, ICICLE, MC GQ, PHOBIA & SWITCH MC! Needing no introduction whatsoever, ANDY C owner of Ram Records and all round wonder DJ makes another appearance at Turbulence in November. Responsible for countless classic tunes over the years along with Ant Miles and Shimon, Andy has been at the forefront of the drum and bass scene for a number of years now. DJ wise this guy really has to be seen to be believed, if you’ve seen him at Turbulence before you’ll know that every time he brings the club to it’s knees. They don’t call him The Executioner for nothing! Alongside Andy C we have the infamous MC GQ. One of the longest serving MC’s in drum and bass, GQ has been at the top of his game for the past ten years. Now a regular with Andy all over the world be it Australia, America or Europe GQ continues to work tirelessly and even owns his own records label – Emcee Recordings, the imprint which launched Clipz’s career with the massive ‘Cuban Links’. Andy C and GQ is a killer combination so make sure you come check him out! ICICLE is probably one of the most exciting new artists in drum and bass at the moment. Already having released tunes on a handful of respected labels, the Dutchman is going from strength to strength, with no signs of slowing up. With Friction’s backing through the Shogun Ltd imprint Icicle is following in Noisia, Martyn, Black Sun Empire’s footsteps, continuing to show the world that Holland produces some of the best DnB out there… Resident support comes in the form of PHOBIA & SWITCH MC. Room two will be host to a night of Hip Hop & Dubstep with special guests, GRANDEURS OF DELUSION. In this 2 man show, Manipulate (Stig & Syntax’s Tour DJ) and Maroon (Bloodied Blade/ NozL Recordings) bring these twisted tracks thrashing to life using 2 turntables, 2 DJ mixers, a controller keyboard and a Laptop. G.O.D take their audience on a half hour twisted journey unlike any other; through a warped landscape of Electro, Glitch, Hip-Hop, Electronica and Scratching. Supporting them will be NIRZ.
