Aye, you get them from installing dodgy software and going onto porn sites. kazaa and shit like kazaa is riddled with them. they can be embedded into practically anything. espesh cracks and keygens.

    Yup, very true!

I still do actually use Kazaa for some software downloads, so long as AVG is running theres nowt to worry about.

Funnily enough, crack sites like astalavista.box.sk is riddled with files containing viruses and spyware, so i tend to stay away from there and associated sites.

astalavista doesn't host any files, neither does it try and install spyware/dialers on your system. The sites linked off of it do, but then again, if you use IE and you don't pay for your software - what do you expect?

Also, don't be reliant on any anti-virus being able to detect a virus/trojan in any file you download. They have to spread before they are detected, and they can also be very well hidden...

Again, if you're not doing summinck 100% legit, don't expect 100% safety...

Are you using the latest Firefox? And are you using SP2? Not heard of any used exploits yet...

Ive tried using Avg but it just says it can't heal them so they are in the virus vault, that ok?

Google their names to see if there's any alternate ways of removal. Try using TDS3: http://tds.diamondcs.com.au . And stop using Kazaa :D

@ Delphia - I would report that to Mozilla if you think that it was a Firefox exploit, as you'll be the first to find one being used. It could be that you had a trojan anyway, but is puzzling
