ha ha, wannadoo rang us up for some reason, i dunno why cos we are with freeserve, but anyways they told us we had a virus, nd when my dad did a scan thing we had 3 viruses and 2 trojan's
What are Trojans???? Ive ran all the links on here but they are all saying theres nothing on his comp
Google - A destructive program that masquerades as a benign application. Unlike viruses, Trojan horses do not replicate themselves but they can be just as destructive. One of the most insidious types of Trojan horse is a program that claims to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses onto your computer. The term comes from a story in Homer's Iliad, in which the Greeks give a giant wooden horse to their foes, the Trojans, ostensibly as a peace offering. But after the Trojans drag the horse inside their city walls, Greek soldiers sneak out of the horse's hollow belly and open the city gates, allowing their compatriots to pour in and capture Troy. Im sure a proper geek will be along shortly with sufficient information of how to rid your computer of this horse
Does it tell you what kind of trojan you have?? If it does, try running a search for it on google, no doubt that will tell you what you need to remove the blighter
Boot into safe mode - run the Anitvirus from there - that'll get rid of it. Get a decent firewall & be careful when using P2P awful hacking programs
