    Trojan Found?

Avast found a little bugger which is file name

    C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP

    Malware name Win32:SdBot-gen44 [Trj]
    Malware type: Trojan Horse

Recommended action is move to chest, but when I try to do that, "There is not enough space on the disk" message comes up, and it tells me it cant process that request.

I cant find much on it using google, can anyone help? Im doing a spybot to see if there is owt as we speak, ive turned off system resore (i forgot about that when I reinstalled) and deleted all temp files.

    GRRRRRR WHY ME?

i would go and buy a good virus removal/protection program , make sure it can remove that. much easier than messing about.

is this your newly rebuilt machine? you must visit some dodgy sites/have shareaza type apps installed to get this amount of trouble with viruses/spyware!!!!!

use Dodgy's fix thread, from the "when the shit hits the fan" bit... make sure system restore is off, u might have to run hijack this to find out where it's being run from in the registry. As for the 'not enough free disk space' message - empty the recycle bin and make sure there IS lots of free space.

also, try the McAfee Stinger - it's a good stand alone AV to use WITH AVG and Trend HouseCall http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

I deleted it, Ive done a spybot, nowt, and another avast boot time scan, nowt.

I need the net on this pooter but ill get an online check done asap.

The only thing I do on that computer is torrents, and they are all scanned as soon as they come in, I use peer guardian as they come in, and I have changed to BitTorrent.

TBH I dont go on pron sites on there. Maybe someone else does.......

Honestly Im doing everything to avoid shit happening, im not a careless person with it, so I dont have any idea WHY i get so much shit on it. Its really annoying. I dont get it on my laptop ever.

The only thing I do differently is the torrents, which is why I keep them on the main PC, but i suppose its the price you pay.

refrain from calling me pet, it has ownership connotations which i strongly object to

But no but yeah but no but yeah but no right coz what it was, was I didnt even know what happened, I was dowloading some music which tina biggins from school, who said she would get fingered off tom the ginger for a fiver, said that I should download coz all the cool people listen to it right, so I didnt know nuffin about it, so you was well out of order even saying that, coz everyone knows tina takes it up the arse for a tenner anyway.

    :hump:

im far better with computers than many people on this board like, shit just happens to me!

C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP is a dump file of your entire system memory when XP crashes (usually from the blue screen of deaths). If you deleted that file a few weeks ago when it popped up in another thread of yours, and you've had a crash recently, then there's a chance that the trojan is running and it's not getting picked up, which is a bit odd. If you didn't delete it, and you've had no crashes recently either, it may be left over from then. It may also be a false positive.

Just giving a confusing reply. :)

well for now im not arsed, but thanks for confusing me - after a bungled RAM installation attempt my computer is now in bits with no case on the floor, and a gig of ram which i cant fit in the slot because im stupid and just assumed it was the right one, and the old ram which doesnt even work anymore for some reason. When i get onto fucking about with it some more, and if i evetually get it working, ill come crying about my trojan then lol

:king: cheers dodge, always nice to hear geek speak.
