but eating a deep fried spider? does it not slightly concern you there were so many enourmous spiders to cook? did you see any? live ones???
yeah at the place where they were deep fat frying them! but none actually running around.. a kid was trying to frighten people by pretending to throw it at them so they'd scream...he looked a bit disturbed when i just looked at him and said throw it at me for all i care...i love spiders!
spiders don't bother me but both the live & deep fried cockroaches made my stomach turn! you can also get deep fried grasshopper in thailand...their theory is 'we'll eat you's before you eat our rice crops'
Amazing Ruth! Some of them sites are breath taking. Ive read about that HUGE Buddha near the start, think we'll go see it the day we're in Bangkok. This pic if my fave Its lush. Some mad sites tho, floating villages? Hope they dont get flooded The elephants are lush!!! I wana do that too!! Not too sure bout all the bones and pics of dead people Not nice
that was one of my favs too...nah they don't flood...they rse when the waters do during rainy season...ingenious... yeah do so & if you have long trousers, proper shoes & t-shirt tops on go to the royal palace to see th eemerald buddha..he looked cool but we weren't dressed appropriatley! hehehehe...they were adorable! wish Ken had been there for that sunset though! :inlove:
Mick that pic is horrific but seeing a building full of piled up skulls like that was awful...both our tor guides had been affected by the Khmer Rouge regeim (sp) & you could see how upset they were when talking about it.... i've read 1 book about someone who survived it but 17 members of his family (at least died) i've got another 1 to read... the history of this country is long & often bloodied but these people are still so kind & friendly to people...they're just so greatful to have a chance to earn (very little) money but be able to keep it its sad that Cambodia has the Angkor Wat and Jungle Wat which were built over 700 years ago but then more recently a fruit loop decided there should be no religion, no education or educated people and killed over 2 million of his own people...he died from natural causes and there are still some of the high up leaders from the Khmer Rouge that are still alive and living in cambodia... they sentenced alot of people to death or a life time of mental torture but yet they're still alive... theres alot of people who are mentally handicapped off having there heads bashed in but surviving and alsoo alot of people suffer from post traumatic stress disorder and other psychological problems! but hey they're happy people!
madness' and they ar still really friendly thats nice. Again some very nice pics after seeing those pics i still wanna go to ibiza for my holidays. maybee i'll do something like that when im a bit older
I couldn't believe it either....then again it might be the happy pizza's that keep them going! See I am 'older' and even the thought of ibiza makes me shudder....i can barely go out clubbing for 1 night let alone 14 in a row! old before my time maybe but give me culture and cups of tea over hangovers/comedowns anytime!
