Travelling to Russia... Looks like I'll be plying a couple of gigs in Russia at the end of March... Anyone travelled there before? Anything I should know. Looks like I need a Visa (a business one I think). Any tips appreciated. Ché
We got our visa's for Russia here - www.realrussia.co.uk Although we just said we were going on Holiday as apparently the business Visa's take a lot longer and cost a fair bit more. We also had to get a letter from the promoter in Russia inviting us into the country as their guest...! Everyone we met who were young enough to not really remember Communism were really nice but the older people tended to look permanently pissed off. You'll notice the difference in wealth also. Think the average wage for a Doctor is only something like £15,000. Crowd at the event were up for it. Kind of like here a few years back when the scene was a bit more fresh.
