Trais is expensive when ya leave till last minute like and the planes same altho gotravel or summit like that have cheap retn flights to Stansted !
try jules cheapest and quickest method tried and tested...plan to get on one train then get completely stiking drunk the night before and dont get out of bed until person your going to see rings you....then wearing the same clothes, depart...only to miss train and get on a different one... (talking fast makes up the time lost though) p.s....come and visit me im bored
The cheapest and fastest way I found for Edinburgh to London is with Easy jet (flying off peak) in to Luton then getting the shuttle bus in to London for about £5. If you’re not that arsed what time you fly you can get it down to £20 each way
vrgin trains did £20 return but now theyv switched to single tickets which are £15 each, ring them 08457222333

national express are running an offer throughout oct/nov for students to go anywhere in the country, from anywhere, for ten squid. not bad eh? takes a while though.
Try have a look at GNER Website or Virgin Trains Website I managed to get tickets down to Birmingham for Sundissential 6th birthday on 2nd November for £20 return! Not sure how much it is to London but book in advance and it's well cheap! (BTW Jeny, if u read this, keep it quiet as trying to make it a suprise visit for Caz! John knows though...)
