i think crouch would be a great buy for the clubs fighting out for 5th place. 15m may seem alot, there wasnt too much fuss when spurs paid more than that for bent. i know which striker i would rather have!!!
Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is eyeing West Brom's Bosman prospect Zoltan Gera. The Mirror says Keegan is closing in on the Hungary midfielder, 29, who is out of contract this summer. Re: Re: Transfer Rumours & Gossip Its not that laughable when darren bent is supposed to be worth £17m, atleast crouch is good
Re: Transfer Rumours & Gossip Hes well worth that IMO. As people have said if you compare him with Bent hes in a different league. At least he has experience at the highest level (no, seriously )
I dont see how Crouch is so much better than Darren Bent like, and just because Spurs were stupid enough to pay £17m for Bent, it doesn't mean Crouch is worth £15m. Theyre both worth about £8m each.
when he plays he scores goals, he would have probably scored 20 or more this season had he started as many games as dirk kuyt
its just the state of the prem and football in general the amount of coin it generates clubs can push up prices to whatever they see fit knowing some1 will fork out. ever since abram got hold of chelsea theyve been goin daft. maybe 6-7 teams in the league who can realisitcally compete to get the decent players who want the kudos an dosh, all the rest are screwed
That would be a quality signing, Riise is quality and id love a player like him at sunderland but hes not good enough to help you push for the premiership title Thinking of it how lucky are france with left backs, Domenech has the choice of Evra, Clichy and Abidal for Euro 2008
I do think Riise will go and although I will be sad about it I think its the right time. He'd fit in at somewhere like Villa, a team who attack alot. You're right about France like. My money's on Spain for the Euros tho.
Agreed, i would love to sign Jermaine Pennant as well I wouldnt pay £15 mill for Crouch personally like, hes a quality centre forward though worth £10 - 12m tops for me.
players like bent and crouch are over priced, reason could be because their english! so many rumours flying round about the state of the english game foreigner wise, so if a quota gets instated we will have to get used to paying above the odds for english players!!! anyone wanna but a true englishman in the form of alan smith for 15million???
