    Why isnt trance as good as it used to be?

    it all sounds the same these days!!!

    no, you need correcting.

    trance has stayed at a constant level, where as the drugs have dwindled down to petty McPP pep pills and poor ratio coke. Not to mention the recent shite batch of sticky Mad Dog that just wasnt anything near.

    also, the only place for mass gathering's of trance in newcastle now is digital, and it's becoming more tedious every event. it seems to becoming more of a coin hoover everytime i go. fleeced at the door and fleeced at the bar - and more often that not fleeced on the dancefloor.

    plus - because it's been brought into the mainstream a touch more, it means that charv population inside the clubs MUST wear no tops and the doormen will let them. this creates threat, and that has no place on any dancefloor really :)

    forget going cyber to event's these day's - you'll be going henley's instead.

    so - to rephrase the question you are asking:

    "why arent drug's as good as they used to be?

    they are all the same these days!

    well i havnt been into the trance scene really since promise @ foundation and i loved it everytime i went!!

    it is proper trance ive been listening to, went to digital society the other week n had a good time but the music just wasnt as good as i remember it being.

    maybe mistak is right but i was actually getting bored with the music!!

    The sticky mad dog done the trick like lol, looking forward to next time I get some proper stuff though.I go throough phases with trance but theres always plenty decent tunes knocking about, nothing like it was years ago though

    Trance is as good, if not better these days. Theres far more variation, to way back when. The tracks are far better produced.
    The only difference i think, is the fact the melodies dont seem to be as memorable as the classics, ad some of them are far more complex than classics. You just need yo go to a decent night mate, where it wont be full of tossers, and has a crowd that know what they are listening to. Otherwise you may aswell listen to every euphoria/gatecrasher/clubbers guide to.... album since 1998.
