Asking on a forum is probably less productive than going out of the house and looking in a shoe shop.

think that might be where he was heading, its not exactly rocket science

As if the 'End Clothing' thread didn't present enough clues towards nice trainers neither. There were 4 or 5 websites posted in there, if you must stay in on a day like this.

They're horribly uncomfortable, especially if you stand on a small stone and the build quality is no better than lego.

    If they were £7 I wouldn't complain but for £100+ they're a no no.

I need some new trainers, I don't like any about these days so I just wear them £7 plimsoles. Last decent trainers I seen were Puma Smash, but for some reason I didn't get a pair ages ago and now nowhere sells them.:(

you REALLY want people to TELL YOU what trainers to buy? why not just get people to post what they DO like so u can get a few ideas?

Buying trainers is such a personal things - so many brands, styles, colours, types, materials etc - it's very much a personal thing - some people prefer brands (i.e. i like the close, natural fit of Puma, but Nike fits me better, while addidas are small fitting)

On that note - how SHITE is the Nike shop of the royal quays nowadays? Same old 9 month old lines, indoor footy shoes or crappy shoxx. Same with the Addidas shop at dalton park. rubbish. Puma shop is the only saving grace - they sometimes get nice stuff in

Bit of a long shot, but I've been looking for a pair of trainers on/off for the last four years or so. I bought them in Aspecto a bit over four years ago, they were called something like Adidas Adventur Schühe.

Basically like a plimsole, but with more of a sturdy rubber sole, and netting/mesh material on top. The ones I had were navy/dark blue, with three silver stripes down both sides. But you could also get a kind of limey/frog-coloured green version. I think they were designed for kayaking or something like that.

Mine got worn out fairly quick, and haven't been able to find them since. Just every now and then I think I wouldn't mind another pair, and spend five mins looking on the internet then give up.

Anyone got any ideas? Or even know what I'm talking about?
