Toshiba hard drives????

    Toshiba hard drives????

    is there any 'top' brands to look out for when getting a additional hard drive for a desktop??? or are they all pretty much the same...just that im looking into buying a 320GB Toshiba from dixons for £129.99....any info will b appreciated cheers

    SATA drives are faster than IDE but you've got to make sure you have a SATA slot on yer motherboard.
    Most come with 8MB Cache but 16MB are better.

    Heres a cheaper 300Gig for you to consider.CLICK :D

    i forgot 2 mention...external lol...cheers anyway fella...that looks like a 2nd resort...ive heard its easy installing internal drives but im shit at all things PC

    External drives are handy when ya wanna take stuff to yer mates but if your not bothered about that just pay a computer shop £20 to put it in.

    It'll still be cheaper for ya.:D

    From personal experience:

    Seagate, Western Digital, Toshiba = Good :up:

    Maxtor = Bad and extremely noisy :down:
