    Can someone please help me build a list of decent torrents and what they're good for... I'll start with the two most obvious general choices...

    Ive totally given up with torrents like, all i ever get is "tracker rejected" or simply nothing happens :rolleyes:

    If you join araditracker.com register and seed as much as you leech, you get a rank and priority over other members, im a silver member, ive uploaded more that ive downloaded and i get speeds of upto 150Kbs :D winner

    I'm getting 215kbs.. and even the most obscure films like metropolis (1927) are coming up and downloadable..

    beats limewire, kazaa times a million...

    screech > what program are you using?

    use ABC if you's want to go the torrent route.

    make sure you forward those ports from your router mind (if you use one).

    its small, not resource hogg and does the job.

    i use azureus, and get 100-200kbps

    for torrent sites, just type torrents into google.

    anything less than 1024k/sec these days and i would be gutted :p

    usual speeds are a nice fat 1.2MB/sec.

    newsgroups all the way - to hell with pappy torrents!

    how the fuck do you get them that fast? you'd need and 9.6Mbit connection to get them that fast how much does that cost you?

    ABC is crap if you need to keep seeding files after you download.

    Azureus manages uploads automatically and sends topeople when needed. It hogs a bit of memory but saves a lot of time and hastle.

    I use a private site so i can't say which one i use. I dont like using public ones :eek:
