    Torrents

I've just got a new computer and had Torrentspy on my old one, have installed it on this computer but it says there is a problem connecting ot the tracker. Does anyone know how to fix this or what else I can use?

    Cheers :)

Maybe the tracker is just goosed.

Try some other torrents - see if they work.

    try downloadin somethin else.

it will (probably) use a diff tracker.

if that works u know its just the tracker the other torrent's using is goosed.

Are u using a router now?

If you are then u need to look see what port u are using in the torrent program.

Logon to the routers config page (if you goto start > run > type cmd then press enter, then type ipconfig /all your router's IP is whatever the DEFAULT GATEWAY is)

Then u need to forward the port that torrent prog's using to YOUR local IP (you will see this in the results of ipconfig /all that u done above)

I'm not using a router I don't think, could it have something to do with a firewall or something cos every time I open it up, I get a pop up from Norton saying trying to connect to other commputers and I just click the recommended option

It is possible that the firewall is blocking (or recommending blocking) of the port your bittorrent client uses for file transfers.

Depending upon what version of Norton you are runnin you might be able to adjust the settings in the "Internet access control" section. Just set your client to "permit all"

I think that the latest version of norton may be different to the one I have though.. :(

    Yeah Azureus is good :)

Seems to give me much faster downloads than ABC did.. 200+ usually.

    Time to watch prison break..
