Do you use azureus as your torrent client?
If not, you could try that, I get full spped on most of the ones I use and it's got a plugin as a search engine for suprnova.org too.

look in the config for your router (shud be in manual or on manufacturers website) and lookup howto open/forward TCP ports...

if u cant find it in manual just stick it into google mate there loads of guides!

On the client i use... uploadin is proportional to downloading so you cant be a tight arse!! :D If u upload a fair whack then ya download nicely! I always get a around 35kb/s with standard 512kb broadband!

    Does me like! :)

so many people give up on bit torrent cuz they dont realise their router is blocking the ports. once u have it sorted u should be fine. My speeds seem to depend on the tracker being used for the torrent too, can get 180kb/s at times then others will only download as quick as it uploads bout 30kb/s ish.

Also depends how many seeds and peers are sharing the file as to wot speeds you get.

Apparently u've also gotta look at the amount of seeds that are available for a file..

If there arn't too many seeds then u might not get a decent down speed...

80kb is nothing remi. You wanna throttle neil's bandwidth. Turn it down a notch so that its the equivalent speed of a 28k modem.

How? It wouldnt change much anyways as he never downloads anything anyways

Its only 80K on torrents, on normal download its been up to 195 which for a 1.5M connection is a bit wierd :spangled:
