When he first got on the bench for the toon I backed him just because I thought it was mad, but after the novelty had wore off, I now back him as last goalscorer as I know he's only ever gonna come off the bench for the last 10-15 minutes.

i actually think... (and i know so many preople will disagree with me.....) that getting relegated might be what we need.... a kick up the arse if you will.... for too long now newcastle united and just about anyone connected to the club have been deluded into thinking that we're a BIG club.. and that we DESERVE to be at the top.....!!! i'm sorry.. but the only things BIG about newcastle at the moment are the stadium, the wage bill and mike ashley's waist line.. and no team... no matter who they are DESERVES to be at the top, newcastle fans however DO DESERVE to have a team challenging at the top.. but until something drastic happens... season after season of overpaid hasbeens and bullshit performances will continue to be served up to the overcharged public!! something needs to happen.... something big... and if relegation is the catalyst that gets newcastle back on track and challenging the top 6 every season... then so be it!
