    Toon spin

Accoriding to the Chronical Chris Hughton is issuing a "hands off our stars" plea after attention on Carrol and Nolan

Whatever, Nolan was openly slated for being a spentforce in the fatefull relegation season. He struggled to get up and down a pitch let alone put in a performance and for Carrol come on

I know this paper is aimed at the Geordie nation but surely they can be as daft as to believe this tripe

I think it's a direct 'hands off' response to the SMB's plea for a half-dozen players that can actually take a penalty.

it was a great penalty, nothing you can do when the keeper pulls off a even greater save.

you should know this you USED to have a very good keeper

Easy does it Mr. Daly, it's comments like that which would get you filled in outside the centre for life by a diamond strip bar supervisor and his mate...

Come back when you can fill your stadium for your 1st home game of the season against a top 3 side.

Id love to see any clubs support as strong as ours Home/Away after putting up with the past 2 seasons like we've had.

Proof is in the pudding season after season.

i love all the attendance talk  , things must be pretty dyer for this topic to get brought up all the time, surely it just means there are more thick geordies than mackems?!

"Heeeear we got leeeek owa 42 thooosand against doncaster" one word..........mugs

as for 'kicking up dust' its not that long ago you lot were reminding us of our record breaking season and i'm pretty sure i've seen 'well we've been in the champions league' comments kicking about no so long ago. funny how times change.

It's called 'support' Dan, id never expect a Mackum to understand ;)

In regards to this whole thread - look who created it, a Mackum.

In regards to kicking up dust - look who brought it up, a mackum.

In regards to the attendance comments, again - look who brought it up, a Mackum

The banter is comical, were sailing 3 points clear top of the table, 6 points clear of the play off positions (while the Mackums are a mere 6 points from the bottom 3) & have been nearly all season, fans have travelled in their 1000's to away games & support at home has topped that of Premiership clubs, so (for me)all the comments in the world can keep floating round on here.

In the words of Oasis (a fellow Mackum): 'We'll let the League table results speak for themselves'

And in the words of Darren Ferguson after last weeks game: 'You have just seen the team that will win the League'

On that note I bid you farewell x
