It was written in their contracts before 'The Circus' fully got underway mate, nothing Ashley or the Club can do as it's all legally binding, bit of a nightmare, but having said that I think the players want to hang their heads in shame accepting any sort of end of League bonus's imo.

Exactly mate aye, they are all millionaires to start off with and cant believe they would accept an extra half million or whatever after their performances this season and with the club in its current situation. Shows they all care about the club like..

Know its a bit of an odd comment coming from a Sunderland fan like, though as i have said recently the state of the game in the premiership at the minute is a disgrace IMO, and this just typifies the average players mentality.

Relegated or not, if it was written into my contract i'd be getting 500k (or whatever the hell it was) bonus i'd still take the fucker. You'd have to be a fucking dribbling imbecile not too regardless of the fact you're already a millionaire.

Yes it's shit for the club and yes it's undeserved by the players but you can't expect them to give the bloody back to the club or to a starving malaria ridden shithole charity.

Blame the club, not the players.

I disagree mate. How can we not blame the players? Mike Ashley's made & continues to make some terrible desicions which I daresay are the major part in why we are where we are, but end of the day it's the players that are responsible for doing a job & getting results - which they haven't. Morally they should be paying back every single one of the fans there £4/5/600 they've paid to watch that shower of shit for the past 9 months.

I 100% agree with Graham, the mentality of the players in the Premiership & the majority of our squad is terrible. How can you justify accepting a end of League bonus when you've played a part in seeing your Club relegated? It's a HUGE 2 fingers.

Suppose it's just clearer to see the type of players we have at the Club, they've never actually ever wanted to play for Newcastle or succeed in taking us forward, they've went for a payday. Off the top of my head I can only think of 2 maybe 3 players out of that full squad who could actually come out & say they deserve to be paid this.

    Totally agree with this

Newcastle has been, for the last 3/4 years, a massive pay day for any player

All these players who want to stay, havent mentioned a pay cut, werent they the reason we went down?????
