Worse than when ardeles was in charge ! at least we tried to play football back then ! now we spoof wins against 3rd division teams and make the centre forwards look like world beaters . i know what ya mean, but at least you're further up the table! the way we're playing its hard to be confident of us getting any higher... after a few years of progress we have taken 10 steps back all down to mcclarens tactics and untimely injuries. we have to be one of the dullest teams to watch and everyone knows north east fans want to see entertaining football more than most, fans up here will appreciate a manager who plays good football even if they fall short. look at keegan and bryan robson when boro went down in 96/97 playing some great football, that season is regarded highly amongst boro fans, despite the end result because it was entertaining. still we'll see at sunderland tonight, but they know how to battle and have heart... at least they give the fans something to shout about

The way this season is going I think I'd rather have my eye's burnt out than sit through the excruciating pain that is watching the Toon play - it probs wouldn't hurt as much either
