i think as far as player and staff security in south Africa is concern, there will be no problems at all. SA is one of the far more developed african nations and there should be no bother with policing and security to the high profile groups - however i think there will be some terrible incidents involving fans. muggings/ robberies in SA among tourist are rife anyway - so pile a couple of million football fans in there for a 2 month period and there will be hell on earth. also people should stay the fuck away from District 9 - its micey as fuck round there
i think there will be a attack on the world cup 100% its the same continant thats been described as Al-Quedias current base and main recruiting area. If theres not Al Quedia definitly need a reshuffle at the top!
You're forgetting all the factions already present in the area... The Togo team were shot by Angolan rebels seeking independence for Cabinda (the area of Angola that has the most oil). They're not even Al-Qaeda related. Now every group on the entire continent will be looking at targetting it to make a point and score some publicity for themselves. That probably includes Islamic extremists.
Bit harsh talking about a drive by shooting & wearing a GUNNERS top [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPR7jHwc9Fo&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube- SkySportsNews - Adebayor Post ACN Gun-Attack Interview - 12-01-2010[/ame]
