TIMO MASS!!!! (Brid & Orbit @ Turnmills)

My disco partner in crime Orbit - is down here in london, and did me the pleasure of visiting me and we both went clubbing.. London style last night and ... OH MY GOD.

We turned up at Turnmills at 1am, and was immediately impressed by the size and diversity of the place (but equally amazed at 4 quid for a can of Stella, and 2.50 for water)

I was a bit concerned before we went in, i had no idea what the music would be like - im more of a friday night trancer.. but holy crap - This was something else - Timo played about 12-4am, and dropped an amazing set of what Orbit described as "Prog House, wet round the edges" - it was driving, but not repetitive, no silly build ups, just totally amazing - And Timo was a terminator on the decks, he looked so concentrated i was massively impressed..

We stumbled out at 5:30am and made our way back home... which took 3 hours but hey ;)

What with Promise stopping going weekly and people proclaiming the death of trance, i was beginning to sense a trail off in clubland.... but this has restored my faith - GOTO BOUTIQUE AT TURNMILLS NOW!! Its a bit of an eye opener to see a whole night and scene that the northern clubs dont seem to have cottoned on to.

And get Timo to play Promise, but get him to play what he played last night - It would be the perfect antidote to the nay sayers...

All in all - a fucking mint night! Wet round the edges! :D

The Gallery is mint, im planning my next trip down. Probably be september time.

Turnmills as a venue is mint aswell, i kept getting lost, it was confusing as fuck. The long narrow main room looks mint when the lasers on!!!!!

Aye... i was watching him mix and he was concentrating on his stuff like a buddhist monk.... mixing was spot on :)

Wierd scene down south... most people seem oblivious to the DJ.. now i understand why most dj's comment on the promise crowd :D
