I'm sure flares is rammed week in week out, and the pig and whistle, and while we're at it i hear ikon's not doing to badly. I just assumed the people on the board aren't the benefit-claiming dross that you're likely to find there so advised him to keep away.

    Ikon has shut down...

Obviously you are a man who knows his stuff

Attic attracts nothing like the sort of people those other places attract, and they are BARS not clubs.

    You're a pernickety fucker aren't you?

If you insist on splitting hairs: the ikon reference was just to illustrate a point; the crowd in attic is barely one degree removed from the other places i mentioned; he actually asked about pubs, so what's your point?; he also asked which pubs are good , something that can only be measured by giving an opinion, hence my first post.

Not sure if Neil still plays down at Tokyo on a Thursday. Worth popping your head in there, anyway.

The usual decent places, Popolo, Forth, North, Head of Steam, etc. will all be decent. Might be a band on or something downstairs in Head of Steam. WHQ is usually the place to go club-wise, but I'm not sure what the crack is with it with there being no students about until next week.

LOL?! The nights have moved, they havnt removed the club from its foundations and put it on the boat now have they ;)

The renaming operation is part of a whole new image that they are trying to portrey - getting rid of the charvers basically.

Attic crowd is absolutely, in no way whatsoever, like any of the places mentioned, full stop.
