This Promise monthly thing in Hull...

*please understand I'm not having a dig here* :D

First of all, sounds great... I'll try and get to as many as I can (providing the line-ups are mint of course) ;)

But it is wise to launch the venture on March 1st, when Tiesto is doing three hours at Gatecrasher?

Hull is only about 45 minutes from Sheffield and so most of the trance lovers living there and the surrounding area are probably more likely to travel to GC because they know what to expect?

I understand these things have to be planned and booked a long time in advance, but I fear the night down the road in Sheffield mean this venture won't get off to the start it deserves :(

    :)

Doesn't Hull have the biggest council estate in UK so a lot of people may not have the money or the means to get to Gatecrasher.

You’re right mate, these things are planned so far in advance that you cannot avoid such clashes.

A couple of things that will work in promise's favour....

    1. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than a coach to Sheffield then paying GCs door tax.

    2. It's a new thing, everyone and their dog have been to crasher more times than they've had hot dinners (cept crasherkid :D ) and a lot of peeps I know don't go anymore cause it got boring. People are a lot more open to try new things spesh when it's two of the UKs most popular young nights. I think that a lot of peeps will go that would never consider travelling over to Sheffield.

Frank Traxx!!!!! is also at Crasher on the 1st of March amongst others, the monthlies are always a guarenteed phat lineup.

How far people have to travel is never an issue for people because hello it's Gatecrasher, I know people who use to travel from London every week.

Crasher book people like NU Nrg, Rank 1, Solar Stone, Kai Tracid, Promise don't.

If you were at Crasher on saturday you'll know Crasher is far from dead!

It's a club people travel from all over the country to get to, it's not reliabled upon by its locals.

If people want to go to Crasher, they will go, you can't beat Crasher

If your relying on the locals of Hull to pack Fez to the Rafters then be careful.... I've seen it before at the place and the scally element is incredibly high! :(

Chances are a lot of the people who go there will be banned from all the other places in the city!  Plus, Fully Charged (HH/trance night with good line-ups... Eddie Halliwell, Scott Bond, Les Hemstock to name a few) couldn't keep the punters their and that was only £5 to get in (£2 before 10pm)

It would be excellent if a lot of the regulars would make the journey down though :) And I do hope it works... I for one, will be doing my bit :D

Are Promise going to be sorting out any coach travel, or is it make your own way again?
