Absolutely unbelievable.

Is there a way I can use my router to prevent access between say 9am to 7pm?

I can block ports at different times, but I'll still need to use internet for research.

I'm seriously going to fail my masters if I don't do something

i know the feeling, ive got college, uni and a job to go to and yet with all the work i have to do i still find meself wasting time on here in the wee hours.

The hours of 7pm to 9am will be plenty to rubbish your rhetorical nonsense, it's a bit overkill doing it during the day as well
