The winner of the Diesel U Music Award in 2006, (previous winners including... Mylo, DJ Yoda and Infadels) The Duke (real name Adam Dymont) was faced with several record labels wishing to sign him more or less on the spot. The Duke instead chose to hone his musical chops and is now releasing on some of the underground dance scene’s most revered labels. Of course only after he tore through the industry with a raft of stunning remixes for the likes of Missy Elliot, Mekon, Jesse Garcia and the massive 'Deacon' track by Idiotproof (aka Jamie Anderson & Deepgroove). His debut EP was unleashed on Tiga’s Turbo label in 2007, and it spawned one of recent years most defining tracks with ‘Lean & Bounce’. He’s now in the process of putting out his second release, an EP through Switch’s Dubsided imprint appropriately titled ‘Dominion Dubs’containing possibly THE most talked about and hyped track of the year so far, the indisputably HUGE sound of 'Hoy!' Due to his current status as probably the most in demand producer and remixer in the UK he's currently juggling a heavy gig schedule stretching between LA, Australia, Japan mainland Europe and squeezing in some much needed studio downtime in label boss Dave 'Switch' Taylor's new Los Angeles set up, only making only playing a handful of gig's in this country between now and October only making exclusive appearances at The V Festival, Adventures In The Beetroot Field, Fabric.... and the Summer Meltdown II *********************************************** MARK E At the time of writing, Mark E is the latest to provide a mix in Resident Advisors illustrious line of podcasts ( http://www.residentadvisor.net/podcast-episode.aspx?id=112 ) A true name amongst musical officianados and disco/house fans alike. He's an absolutely amazing Dj, but if you've heard of him then we're guessing you knew that already. Also, The Duke's "Dominion Dubs EP" has Finally dropped and it's recieving rave reviews from pretty much everyone due to it's wholey uncategorisable nature. You can check out some tracks here www.myspace.com/dukedumont. The 29th is shaping up to be a right corker
