The Sound Gallery - Music + Club Visuals

For anyone in the area, the Sound Gallery Exhibition is a unique collaboration of music, film and club visuals taking place all this week in the Hatton Gallery @ the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.

In association with Shindig and Traveller, the Sound Gallery aims to bring the clubbing environment into art galleries through a blend of creative visual imagery, projections and artistic club decor, set to live DJ mixed soundtracks.

5 original soundtracks have been created for a short 15min film that is looped throughout the day. The soundtracks range from House and Tech-House to Hip Hop and Breaks.

The exhibition runs all week from Tuesday to Friday and admission is free.

Hope you enjoy the show and let me know what you think :)

alright Paul, hear you got picked to get involved :) Hope it all went well.

By all accounts, I've heard the film is pretty amazing - loads of club visuals etc. and is well worth checking. Gonna go down during the week and then for the live thing on Sat before Lawler.

Yeah it's been really nice to work on the project and great to meet Jim (Mawdsley) and the Traveller boys properly through it.

The film does look very cool with the music played over the top. Lots of trippy, moody shots of Shindig + Promise.

See you on Saturday at the show and then down the front for Lawler 'when the Lights Go Out'!!
