    The S.H.O.K.K sound

    does anyone know what instrument is used to create the classic 'dave doy first impression' sound?
    can you create it in logic by anychance?
    if you can help me out that would be class!

    its just detuned saw waves, pretty much synth can make that sound, just get a synth with more than 6 osc, and put saw waves on all of them detune them all different amounts, add reverb, delay, also you would need to map the filter on the synth to an envelope to create the chopping effect when it filters. obvioulsy the filter part isn't important if you don't want the filter sweeps to be choppy.

    Good synth to use and my fave vsti is the z3ta.
