i wrote an essay on this a couple of years back, but i ve forgotten exactly what i wrote :dunce: but apparently its a lot more media hype (isnt everything?) than something thats a threat to us... I mean people can still get cancer from the UV rays entering the earth, but once again this is all brought out-of-proportion by the media. I think that pollution, which does filter out some of the uv rays, is a greater danger to our healths:)

Gota agree with the pollution bit!!!

But i read sumwere that the earth is colder now than it was 1000years ago:spangled: by around 6-7 degrees. so if that is the case why would the polar ice caps melting be an issue?
Cos they keep going on about how the Earth is a 1 degree warmer:spangled:

its all about cycles though Nat... There will be another ice age at some point in the future (although maybes not for a while)... There was a time when the UK would have been a swamp, hot and humid, these have obviously since long gone, but the evidence is still there, tis what coal is formed of.

GRRRR wish i d paid a bit more attention in Geography though, i found it really interesting:)
