    The oil refinery explosion.....

The police are advising people not to panic buy petrol, because if people do there will be a shortage

Fuck that, I've just filled up, and, knowing what people in this country are like I would suggest you do too :D

Noone knows, best guess so far is that a pipe leaked, petrol vapourised and there was a spark - to be fair, the people there have been lucky

It 's the mob mentality that makes me join it - I know that there would be plenty of oil for everyone if noone panic buys, but I'm panicking that people will, and I'm not going to get caught short

ps - I refill my one bottle of water from the tap when I wish to drink on the move

To be honest, I don't think it will make that much difference. I can't see there being a shortage at all:)

Once again showing that this country is on the brink of falling into total chaos... i didn't even THINK about panic buying petrol - i was more worried about the people involved and how it happened.

it's like christmas - THE SHOPS ARE ONLY CLOSED FOR 1 DAY- why do people insist on emptying the shelves of every supermarket the whole month leading to christmas just in case - STOP PANIC BUYING - it wasn't that long ago ALL Shops were shut for 1 day, every week!! i EVEN remember there being a 'half day closing' on tuesdays... for some reason....

to back up my arguement, i overheard a wife and husband arguing in Wallsend Co-op on saturday saying "yeah but, we might NEED the extra bun cases, for buns.... OR more mince pies if i have to make more..." :dunce:

    Get in!

Makes you wonder quite what the future of this country will be when the panic buying of white bread, bottled water and petrol, and the finalists on x-factor are the only things people seem fit to discuss.

(Not the people on this forum, before anyone gets shirty)
