The Legendary Hacienda Is anybody off here old enough to have remembered and gone to it? Gatecrasher, Cream, superclubs? haha!, It was THE original superclub! from what my sister and a mate tells me, just before my clubbing time unfortunately , ooh the stories :groovy: take me to the Hacienda!!
never went myself however av heard a lot of good, and a few bad, things about it! would have certainly bin an experience!!!!!!!!!!!
unfortunitly im to young to have went there, but my old business studies teacher used to go and he said it was the bollox. i would love to have went, to see sasha nd digweed fuckin up a few mixes in there early days.
my mates sister went just before it closed......she said it was a bit wank. but it was just before it closed tho.
LOL - Thanks what I was about to type. It is really worth seeing if you want to know more about this legendary venue. If they still have it (I presume they do) there is a piece of the dancefloor in the Promise office that Mark got hold of.
I wonder if we will remember any of the clubs from this era in ten years time the way The Hacienda is remembered!!!
Re: The Legendary Hacienda Ive been to the Hacienda once like - obviously a long time ago when i lived in Manchester. It was a bosh club where all the 'big names' used to go. I remember bumping into Seal - He's a big lad like! BUT all those clubs that you mentioned above are totally different in style! Gatecrasher, Cream, Godskitchen are superclubs! You cant even compare any of them to the Hacienda. Adz :chill:
i went once, '94 sometime... wasn't the best experience i've ever had but it was good... and i'm glad i can say i went atleast once. it was only 50 miles over the hills from leeds, where i lived
