Without a shadow of a doubt, IF we go up we are going to need forwards that are proven to have scored at premiership level he has so we be a good addition

I think yous would be better getting someone younger in, someone like Jason Euell who has fell out with Curb's @ Charlton or maybe a Vassell who has lost his way a bit.

I also think MMc would not sign him anyway as MMc has a problem with fans favourite's & he would be out of his depth with a fans favourite who was a Sunderland legend as well.

If you looked at all three players, Euell,Vassell and Phillips goal record since they have all been playing at premiership standard i dare say Phillips has a far superior gaol ratio.Both Euell and Vassell dont score enough goals in my opinion.

Sunderland will need a raw pace up-front next year as they are going to get battered & they will need an outlet & the raw pace Euell or a Vassell is what is needed, also if the poop hit the fan both them players would have sell on value, where as Kev wouldn't.

You can, but you only have to look how well Southampton are doing now they have got the pace of Camara alongside Crouch instead of Phillips.

We couldnt afford Vassells fee or wages and Euell plays on the wing nowadays doesnt he?

I did say "someone like". Euell plays more games in the reserves than first teams these days & he plays in various postions like most Charlton forwards.
