The Kingdom. Watched this last night at work. It's canny good but nothing spectacular. It was a mad film due to the fact that it's a mainstream Hollywood action thriller masked as an intelligent "commentary" on the state of affairs in the middle east and America's relationship with Saudi Arabia. There's some genuinely serious and complicated issues in that part of the world and it just seemed to gloss over alot of them. Then in the third act it all kicked off and became quite action film-y. That was main the problem with the film for me, it didn't know what it wanted to be. Prob give it a 6 or 7/10.
i thought this was mint, quite tense with good action sequences and a bit of humour thrown in, made me feel like doing a bit terrorist stomping
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I really dont like Jennifer Garner, she's proper shit, but didnt spoil the film. I liked the end where it linked both sides saying to kill them all.
