The Gaming Revolution! The title sounds a little dramatic but just what we've been talking about over the past few months has finally been picked up by the papers, have a look on page 17 of today's Metro - it's basically an insight into EA's next up coming online titles but the main bit - they're FREE! In the next series of Battlefield, here's ; www.battlefield-hereos.com - looks a litte 'team fortress' but if you want, you can purchase upgrades, uniforms, etc, but if you don't want to - just play it for nowt. Also there's; www.spore.com - some kind of creature growning thing - but you can download the creature creator early - and for nowt. when i bought speccy games, i'd spent ages in the games shop, looking at the back of cassette boxes trying to choose the best game for my £2 pocket money - lets hope this shit in how they get their games out there AND how the combat piracy is picked up by lots of other software houses - good on EA! hhmm.. not exactly clearing 3rd world debt is it?
getting the kids hooked and making em pay - as the saying goes. steam has a nice little system to combat anti piracy, you can crack it like - but it's such a fanny on people would rather pay than hassle on to get it for free, and even then i dont know if you can play fully online :spangled: i've sort of given up on the whole online game thing, unless something hits me in the face - i dont think i'll bother.
