The Gallery - Fri 22nd Feb - Christopher Lawrence, Sister Bliss, Tall Paul..... THE GALLERY Friday 22nd February Room 1: Christopher Lawrence Tall Paul Sister Bliss Simon Patterson (Dogzilla) Gavyn Mytchel J Joy Room 2: Hosted by Nuestra Casa Pete Gooding Oliver James Broken DJs Cosmique & Parish Beats On Friday 22nd February The Gallery presents two of its most loyal servants, Tall Paul and Sister Bliss whilst also showcasing new talent in the shape of Simon Patterson (he of Dogzilla fame) and welcoming with open arms one of its regular guests Christopher Lawrence. This blend is unique to a night such as The Gallery and is only able to happen due to its long running family feel and commitment to what is best. It’s a policy that seems to have served us well for the last 13 years and long may it can continue!! Christopher Lawrence is a name that has seen some serious action in the past 12 months for sure, from awful back injuries leading to cancelled tours to allegations involving the DJ Mag Top 100 to a superb mix compilation for Gatecrasher... it’s been one of those years. 2008 however shows no sign of letting up as Christopher launches a brand new label 'Pharmacy' with the first two releases both collaborations with John 00 Fleming and Nicholas Bennison. He will also be starting a weekly radio show entitled ' Rush Hour' with worldwide syndication and has also just finished remixing a track for use on a number of Motorola phones worldwide as part of a new mobile phone and bluetooth range. Christopher has been a guest at The Gallery for many years bringing with him his unique underground, driving dance music and unquestionable passion and faith in what he does. Whilst many have cast assertions and offered opinions on him, here at Gallery HQ the basic fact for us remains, he rocks that main room every time he plays it. Those that have had the pleasure know exactly why he is a regular booking in our calendar and for those that haven’t may we suggest you ignore the rubbish you may have read and get in on the action because you’re missing out! Gallery main man Mr Tall Paul comes home once again to inspect the troops, whip everyone into shape and once again drop another one of those classic main room sets he’s famous for. Whilst Paul is one of the best to check out in the main room here at Turnmills may we also suggest that Sister Bliss is added to that list. If 12 O’clock sets at The Gallery had to be embodied in one person Bliss would be that figure. Don’t ask us what it is about her and the music that comes out of that bag from somewhere every month, but it’s unreal and something to truly behold. Put her and Paul together in that booth and it’s a masterclass in how to do it right royally main room Gallery style!! Simon Patterson takes the night up a notch towards the end; fresh from yet another set of monster releases such as ‘Bulldozer’ and ‘Well See’ as well as his side project Dogzilla famed for classics such as ‘Without You’ and ‘Your Eyes’. A DJ regular worldwide, Simon is certainly on the fast track scheme if ever there was one and a great talent. Kicking off the night with a bang will be Gallery resident Gavyn Mytchel who takes one for the team and supplies the early warm up. Next door in T2, The Gallery welcomes new blood Nuestra Casa to Turnmills to say down some tech-house treats and proggy delights! They look set to be off to a flyer as the one like Luke Fair jets into London for an exclusive set in the capital. A regular headliner around the globe, Luke is really seen on these shores, so make sure you don’t miss this star in action. Completing this debut Nuestra Casa session will be a load of newbies in the shape of Oliver James, Broken DJs, Cosmique & Parish Beats – all ripe for rocking the arse of our infamous backroom space!!
