once u have driven off the forecourt you have lost 1000's anyway? only way it could benifit is if someone already WANTED a brand new car adn knew someone who had a banger and got them to buy it for them then swap names. no point in buying new really althought it is tempting... a little Citreon C1, fiat Punto or even a Skoda for 6k is a very good price
Mine does only with nissan though as the car only has to be 8 years instead of 10. wouldnt mind a nivara would need the peddles modified to fit my legs though
Mine qualifies it's as old as the hills! I wouldn't buy new though, as everyone says it loses a couple of K when you drive off in it.
The whole thing is a scam intended on taking a nation of people who are already completely FUCKED financially, and putting them in yet more financial servitude 'to the man'. Buying a brand new car is fucking nuts. Why?!?!?! Let someone else suffer the depreciating the moment they park it on their drive for the first time. Before this useless scheme came around, you could negotiate 20-30 percent discounts at dealerships on new cars anyways ... which on a new car is miles more than 2 grand. This 'scheme' just gets some much needed publicity for a government who is completely in the shit and doing nothing but throwing the public a few pennies for every pound they give the banks. Also .... anyone who likes to think of themself as 'green' should think about how green it is to take a perfectly useable car and 'scrap' it in favour of a new one that has cost tonnes and tonnes of CO2 to produce (Not that i believe in that). Party political broadcast over.
