Well if anything I commend the calibre their at least looking for. Some of the soon to be ex-pompy players we've been linked with don't really set my world on fire. If that article has an ounce of honestly in it then it's good news for any Toon fan imo, as it means the Club understands the type of players we need to stay up next season.

Weather or not 'The Count' is the answer tho... I doubt it very much.

It will be a long long time before we're in a position to spend that much on any player again and i'd rather we didn't- bitter experience has proved that that kind of signing is generally in it for the money and underperforms massively

Young british players who actually have some comitment and drive is what will make Newcastle successful again, big name signings will not, which is why we should have offered o neill whatever amount of cash it took to get him to take over after bobby left- we'd be at the very least where villa are now, if not better

If he's not doing the biz at Man Utd, he won't do it for us.

Like lee says - one very talented but lazy fuck. It was players like him that took our club down....

If Ferguson couldn't get the best out of him, then Hughton wouldn't stand a chance. I'm sure he'd love £25k a week as well!

There's only Kevin Prince Boateng that would be worth buying from Pompey. I think you've been linked with O'Hara as well and imo he'd be a great addition to your squad if you did get him. He's been fantastic in a very shit Pompey side this year and still young. Just depends what Spurs want to do with him get rid or loan him out again.

Jamie O'Hara is quality IMO, wouldn't mind him at Sunderland though we're pretty strong in midfield when everyone is fit and dont think he's what we really need this summer.

Would be an excellent signing for Newcastle... so needless to say I hope you's dont sign him
