    The Beast of Devon

Anyone see the big cat/puma/lynx they caught on camera in Devon??? It has been killing horse's for fucks sake!

Police snipers are on its trail......

Apparently there loads of big cats living in the UK.....

When I was a wipper I once found a lamb skinned and stored 40 foot up a tree. Like you see Tigers do on the wildlife programs. Ever since then Iv been fascinated by the fact there are killer pussys living very close to us!

Yeah in the 70's it was cool to have a puma as a pet (its now illegal to keep big cats as pets)....... these escaped and bred in the wild.

when i was at school my mate brought a photo in of this massive fuckin cat.
    looked like a puma.
suposedly the pic was taken at scots gap somewhere in northumberland.
it had entered the bull pen while my mate and his dad were in the land rover.

it looked mean as fuck on the pic.

how the fuck do they manage to grow that big in england without people noticing them?

these animals are extremly shy of humans and spend 99% of there time hiding and stalking...... they could be a yard from you in long grass and you would never know they are there.

The moors and parts of the countryside are desolate and have the right conditions to support a small number of large predators... also they tend to avoid humans so they rarely get close to human populations

they have been reported eating sheep, family pet dogs and this one in devon has been feeding on young horse's.

They arnt the same as Ferrel Cats which are just big fuck off wild cats. Iv seen a dead one of these and they can be as big as a springer spaniel.

Because they are a large carnivorous predators that could happily rip us to shreds and we couldn't do anything about it apart from watch our innards quickly become "outards" :)

    EXPERTS IN BIG CAT CALL

Experts say there's "little doubt" big cats such as leopards, lynxes and pumas are roaming the countryside, with a rise in sightings.

The south west of England is the hotspot, with almost a quarter of the 2,052 sightings reported between January last year and this March.

The British Big Cats Society called on ministers to back a full UK-wide scientific investigation into sightings of big or exotic cats in rural Britain.

Its 15-month survey recorded an average of four sightings a day in the UK.

The study unearthed video and photographic evidence, plaster casts of paw prints and reports of attacks on horses and sheep.

The Society collected 96 reported observations of big cats in Cornwall during the survey period, 100 in Devon and 69 in Somerset.

Founder Danny Bamping said: "We are now going to approach the proper authorities to ask for their support in undertaking a properly-funded scientific study on the big cats in Britain."

The survey recorded 231 reported sightings in Scotland, 141 in Kent, 127 in Yorkshire and 102 in Wales - and seven in London.
