that radio 1 advert at the pictures Think I'm gonna watch fuzzy shit pirated movies from now on than have to go through this very painful experience one more time.
it take ages to get going - but it's good at the end nachos are always gone b4 the film even starts nowadays.... too many, i only want film trailers - but i suppose the cinemas have to make some money somewhere as all ticket sales go to the studios
The 'Don't watch pirate DVD's' warnings always get me. No mention of the DVD rips or the DVD screeners and R5's
aye so do i... its part of the cinema experience turning to your lass and saying "that looks good we'll go and see that" or "that looks shit" and on that i note i seen a trailer for a film called "the strangers" looks mint!
Tried watching R5 of Vantage Point and turned it off after 5 mins coz of the sound. Watched dvd rip of Disturbia the other day which was ok, canny predictable though. But the fucking Radio 1 advert must have wasted an hour or so of my life at the pics so far! I hope someone shoots Westwood in the face.
I suppose it depends what kinda system you watch it on. Every R5 I've watched has been with either headphones, TV stereo or through my 5.1 (connected through an optical cable though). I've never had any problems or reasons not to watch because of the sound. The Vantage point one was nuked pretty quickly.. as are a lot of screeners etc..
I'll let you know what Wanted is like It was fine.. used headphones but didnt notice any difference from a dvd.
ive got a pioneer 5.1 system and some sennheiser hd25 sp headphones ive just bought and the r5 i still had on me pc still sounded distant and just not in keeping with the film. it just detracts from the who thing
That Radio 1 advert is the start of a new trend in cinema advertising, it's called a "pre-ad". Odeon have abolished the old slides that used to run in the screens before the film started and replaced them with pre-ads, which are essentially an advert before the proper Carlton adverts. "Adverts before the adverts" - ridiculous.
I usually go in 10-15 minutes later than the film 'starts' cos I cant be arsed with the adverts. Did that when watching The Dark Knight and still had to wait 10 minutes before it started. That new Guy Ritchie film looks shit like
