The PM's no longer in power apparently....

I always had Thailand down as a pretty stable place.

What does this mean for the Thai people?

if it turns nasty that's the country screwed....it relies on tourism & if it goes tits up they'll get none...

i hope it all goes fairly smoothly what ever the outcome...

apprentley its gone peacefully so far . There are just over 20,000 ex pats living in briton and around 2000 holiday makers .

The army is supporting the king as he is a popular figure amongst the public and there priminister has been accused of corruption and rigging elections . Evenm of making business decisions to help his own mobile phone firm become more profitable instead of focusing on the economy .

Sounds like maybe this coup could be a good thing in some ways but it all depends on the armys agenda and weather there trying to reinstate the king or just name dropping !
