if u sign a tenancy agreement
and then one of them wants to move out before the time is up
were does the person left stand ??????

just my other housemate has decided its to much to live at our house n is moving but hasnt told me n told our other housemate who "accidentaly " told me
proper nobber he is im fuming
can he do it or will he be asked to pay his way out of the contract

depends - more than likely the rest of yous will have to cover the cost OR find someone else...

if he's signed it.. he'll have to pay rent for his empty room if he moves out...

This happened to me and he had to keep on paying it, not me. I ended up having to sort out all the outstanding bills tho! :evil:

be careful with this...this happned to ken last year & the letting agency got someone else to move in....he turned out to be an recovering alcoholic who wasn't really recovered! the cheeky fuck drank my wine & btle of vodka along with a few other things...we had to call the police cos he went missing frequently & they were worried that he was going to steal there stuff to feed his drink habbit! the letting agency weren't exactly helpful either even tho the other 2 had no agreeement with this person what so ever!

Check your tenancy agreement and talk to the Citizens Advice Bureau if necessary. They should be able to tell you your legal position, which could be useful to know before talking to your landlord, as he may just try to land the costs on you.

I'm a landlady down here and it totally depends on what the agreement says that you signed. The one I give has a clause stating that if you move out before the agreement ends then you have to pay a months rent or until someone else moves in whichever is sooner. But I'd imagine it depends on what you've signed cos if they can get out of it they will!!!

Tenants are a pain in the arse when they decide to do stuff like that though!

The slack arse should pay. Make sure you sneakly get his next or home address so you can pass it on to your landlord & bills nee hee hee
