techno/trance.... I'm confused again someone pls enlighten/educate me.... Pike/Paula perhaps I've got a couple Technoclub CD's, 1 by Tandu and 1 by Taucher (cheers Jayne ), listening to em I would have sed they're trance, but elsewehere on this forum ppl have referred to Tandu as german techno Now I've always thought of techno as Picotto style, which doesn't appeal too much, but this stuff by Tandu and Taucher is fukkin mint I ain't getting hung up on labels, but is this style what is known as techno/ german techno or what??? oh, and where can I get some more??? cheers ppl
See my techno is different to other peoples for some reason - when I say techno I mean like Green Velvet, Miss Kittin, Felix da Housecat and Tiga but everyone classes it as electro Thats proper techno Im tellin ya

ok little mister know it all Since when have scooter made techno, they call themselves german techno? Since when has commander tom not made trance - yet he calls himself german techno... if they aren't german techno, please define what is I'm not saying they don't call it euro techno either btw che listen to that ali wilson mix, may be a bit hard for your liking but its quality non the less
Once apon a time.......... all electronic music was referred to as "Techno music" ......... aka New Technology music. The Technoclub cds are named after The German night/club of the same name. This club has been around for many years... nearly 30 I think?? long before people using trance to describe what we hear now. Hence you young kids being confused by its name. Technoclub is a very old series of cds named after a even older club........... its also a GERMAN CD. I dont think Trance & Techno is as chalk & cheese as it is to us in europe. There are forms of "Euro Techno" or "Snarf Parp" on these cds..... Scott Project stuff like that.... but it isnt pure Techno (Umek, Leibing etc). Lots of people still see ALL forms of electronic dance music as Techno music. When I was in America they had UK Hard House in the Techno section! This is where it belongs!!! One thing thats black and white....... Tandu isnt a Techno DJ !!
Ps. Si. The style is just pure Trance mate. Sorry thing is they dont make it like that anymore Iv got a lot of the early cdswhich are excellent, the recent release's have been a bit to "Euro" for me & i havent bothered. Look at this!!! Bald Taucher & Slim Talla!!
